Which Game Coins Are Shining? Check Out These Altcoins!

According to a recent DappRadar report, on-chain gaming accounts for 45.43% of the decentralized application (dApp) industry, despite the fact that the Daily Unique Active Wallets (dUAW) related to gaming fell 12.33% in February. Game developer Unity also shows the bullish trend towards the industry and has entered the field by offering 13 Blockchain-based software development kits (SDKs). So which game coins are promising?

The latest in the blockchain gaming industry

DappRadar’s report points out that the 12.33% drop recorded last month is consistent with previous years, as “February tends to be a slow month for the industry.” While gaming continues to account for nearly half of industry activity, its dominance has not been shaken by declining dUAW numbers.

The rate of 45% in February indicates a decrease from the dominance of the gaming industry, which was 48% in January. The current dominance rate rewinds the growth recorded in January and brings the dominance rates to the same as in December 2022.

Regardless, gaming coins continue to dominate DeFi. Compared to gaming, DeFi has seen an increase in dominance rates from 21% in January to 24%. However, that’s still almost half of 45% of games.

The game Oath of Peak went strong against the current and was the best performing game in February, increasing its monthly UAW (mUAW) by 136% and reaching 88,090. Trickshot Blitz was also among the growing gaming coins, increasing its mUAW to 84,160 in February, up 49% from the previous month. Finally, Farmers World has managed to resist the overall decline in February, posting a 4% growth in its mUAW.

Rise with SDKs

The report also highlights an emerging trend in blockchain games: SDKs. Citing Alchemy’s Q4 data, the report notes an 87% growth in Ethereum (ETH) SDKs in 2022. In addition, installations increased by 16% in the fourth quarter compared to the third quarter of the same year.
