Leah Wald is the CEO of Valkyrie. She also briefly served as Executive Vice President of Portfolio Management at Exponential she. Previously, she was a Partner at Lucid Investments, an asset management firm where she started her bitcoin investment arm.
Leah started her career working at the World Bank in the African Region. After completing her business degree, she worked as a financial analyst reporting directly to the CEO to develop investment strategies for the world’s top-performing two billion dollar asset managers in Japan, Asia and global macro strategy. He specializes in stock trading as well as M&A and LBO deals based on macroeconomic trends and fundamental analysis. He also worked as a deal acquisition consultant at three venture capital firms focusing on FinTech investments.
Leah founded Veterati in response to the major employment challenges faced by 1.5 million veterans returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. He also served as founding economic adviser to Naadam Cashmere to build the development fund helping nomadic goat herders in Mongolia. She is a contributing author to Forbes, where she wrote the column “Stories from the Front Lines of Women’s Entrepreneurship” and co-authored the book Hyper Wave Theory: Rogue Waves of Financial Markets.
