Pascal Gauthier was born in Paris in 1976 to an architect father and a philosophy professor mother.
He started his career at the French subsidiary of DooYoo, a German start-up specializing in online consumer reviews. In 2002, he was hired by Kelkoo, an online price comparison tool, and later became the company’s sales director for France.
Pascal Gauthier was hired by Criteo in February 2008 and served five years as COO. He left Criteo in 2013 and joined Index Ventures, a company specializing in the technology sector.
With his interest in cryptocurrencies, he founded Challenger Deep in 2014, which collects, analyzes and distributes data from crypto money markets. He became general manager in 2015 after several years on Ledger’s board of directors. Between 2015 and 2016, Pascal Gauthier, together with two other partners, opened a restaurant, Oyster Bar, in Paris.
Pascal Gauthier joined the ‘10% to change everything’ coalition launched by the French Ministry of Ecology and several companies in the wake of the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pascal Gauthier has been on the board of OpenX, a company specializing in advertising, since 2015.
