Will PUBG’s payment method be USDC?

PUBG’s developer, Krafton, plans to introduce USDC payment method through Cosmos-based platform.

The company behind PUBG, the war game with approximately 30 million active users, is stepping into crypto. Kraft, the developer of PUBG, plans to incorporate USDC through its new layer-1 blockchain Settlus. PUBG is looking to integrate USDC payment method!

PUBG makes a move for USDC

Krafton, the team behind the popular war game PUBG, introduced its Cosmos (ATOM)-based blockchain project for USDC payment method. Settlus, developed on Cosmos SDK, will use USDC for in-game payments.

Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire confirmed PUBG’s move with his post on the X platform. Allaire said that the 30 million-player gaming giant’s plan to create a payment network using USDC on Cosmos is exciting.

Cosmos SDK, a tool of Cosmos, provides services for building layer-1 blockchains. Krafton, the developer of PUBG, will develop its new blockchain Settlus with this tool. Settlus’ website and social media accounts were also opened. According to the information on the website, Settlus’ testnet will be released in early 2024.

Settlus, which Krafton plans to develop, will reveal layer-1 speed in payment methods and metaverse data. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire highlighted Settlus’ potential to move 30 million users to USDC. Krafton introduced its new initiative at the Circle Hacker House event.
