Winamp application was used a lot in Turkey, especially in the early 2000s. Together with MSN, he shared the fun and emotions of almost two generations. Winamp, which could not make much progress in the technology war, took a new step by taking advantage of blockchain technology.
Winamp Adds NFT Support
Classic Windows media player winamphas integrated music NFTs into its platform in its latest update.
Winamp’s new feature will allow users to play NFT embedded audio files. and will call it a Web3 desktop upgrade.
The latest version of Winamp, released in 1997, allows music fans to connect their Metamask wallets to Winamp via their Brave, Chrome or Firefox browsers. Winamp supports ERC-721 and ERC-1155 audio and video files and is compatible with Ethereum and Polygon.
Winamp said NFT support along with other updates will make Winamp a universal and advanced listening platform. It also stated that it will include a cross-platform creator service that will launch in early 2023.
