Crypto development is also closely followed in Turkey. Particularly Garanti BBVA made a name for itself by releasing a crypto wallet. The inclusion of the phrase “working hours” in the crypto wallet launched by Garanti BBVA caused surprise.
Traditional finance and crypto are incompatible!
Garanti BBVA crypto wallet, which made a big impact in Turkey, came to the fore in an interesting way. The working hours warning in the wallet attracted the reaction of the crypto community. As it is known, cryptocurrencies have gained popularity due to their 24/7 transaction and easy end-to-end transfer. It has been a matter of discussion that the traditional finance giant brought the banking application with it while entering the crypto sector.
Garanti BBVA warned that crypto transfers made between 08:30 and 17:30 on weekdays may take a long time to complete. In addition, the assets that can be transferred to the wallet are limited for now. Users will be able to send Bitcoin (BTC), USD Coin (USDC) and Ether (ETH) to Garanti BBVA’s crypto wallet.
