Yuga Labs’ CEO has purchased a 3575 Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT. New CEO Alegre bought Bored Ape NFT on the Blur NFT trading platform for 50 Ethereum.
New CEO Bought NFT from Legendary Series
Daniel Alegre, CEO of Yuga Labs, has acquired part of his company’s popular NFT collection, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). BAYC is among the largest NFT series with a market value approaching $800 million. Alegre purchased ownership of Bored Ape #3575 for 50 Ethereums, or about $90,000.
Alegre announced the acquisition on Blur’s NFT trading platform on Twitter. This NFT was purchased on the date Alegre was officially inaugurated. Alegre performed this transaction with the Ethereum address, which he previously funded from his Coinbase account. Alegre made the following statements in his statement on Twitter:
“To my children: meet a new member of the family. Proud of Ape to BAYC #3575.”
Alegre adopted NFT’s avatar as his Twitter profile picture, demonstrating his commitment to Bored Ape Yacht Club culture.
