Zipmex Requests Meeting for Recovery Plan

Asian crypto exchange Zipmexrequested a meeting with the Thai Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulators to discuss the firm’s bailout plan.

Zipmex filed for bankruptcy last July. The Singapore Supreme Court then granted the cryptocurrency exchange more than three months of creditor protection. Continuing its recovery plans, the company took a new step and requested a meeting.

Zipmex Wants to Discuss Recovery Plan with Thailand SEC

Zipmex announced on August 25 that the company had sent a letter requesting a meeting with the SEC that potential investors would also attend. The company follows a tight-lipped policy of not revealing who the investors are.

Stating that the meeting request was made, the statement said, “We requested a meeting with the Thailand Securities Exchange Commission and regulators in the country where we operate in order to introduce our investors to the regulatory authorities and present our bailout plan to the government institutions.” sentences were included.

Zipmex said the following about investors that it stated would attend the meeting, but did not name:

“The investors we interviewed fully understand our potential and share our vision and mission to develop the digital economy in Thailand and Southeast Asia”
